“A typical day for me consists of conversations, observations, completing sensory assessments, sensory flows, and making connections with the people I serve,” said Cammerran Vetter. Cammerran has worked for Region V Services for 12 years.
Her passion for helping people leads everything she does. She leads a Just Move Class for staff and the individuals we support, leading chair yoga or dancing to get people more active. An individual she supports loves spending time outside; one of the ways Cammerran encouraged him to spend time outside was to bring him with her to watch her daughter play softball, he loved cheering on the teams.
Cammerran also spends some of her day providing job coaching to individuals interested in employment. She has worked with one individual for six years. She had a couple of different jobs in that time but hadn’t found anything she loved. Cammerran kept working with her, and the individual decided since she loves coffee, she wanted to be a barista. With handwork and dedication, she is now employed with a coffee shop. Cammerran said, “Watching her grow and accomplish her goals is one of the reasons she loves working at Region V Services.”
Cammerran and the entire staff at Region V Services work hard every day to ensure the individuals we support lead the lives they want to. With the funding challenges we face sometimes it can be a struggle to accomplish everything we would like to. That is where donations from you can help us make people’s dreams a reality.
