Jon became an employee of Wahoo Parks and Recreation in March 2021. He has buffed floors at the Civic Center through employment services from Region V Services for many years. As Region V Services moves forward toward inclusive employment, Jon and the employment specialist in Wahoo negotiated with the manager of the Civic Center. It was decided that Jon would continue buffing floors as an employee of the Civic Center. Jon brought the skills and expertise needed by the Civic Center.
It is a win-win situation for both Jon and the Civic Center. Jon has better hours, and he loves working around other employees, and they love him.
